Ellen Hutson LLC Hero Arts Wood Take 'n Make

These set of cards was made using the Hero Arts starbursts wood stamp. I just fell in love with this stamp and while I do not want to add wood to my stamp collection I just couldn't pass it up!

Hero Arts Clear Take 'n Make

I am entering a few cards for a challenge from Ellen Hutson this unfortunately I gave my cards away before I realized they were supposed to be photographed with the stamp...
First I silver embossed on the card base. I used clear stamps with Versamark to do that. Then I used blue glimmer paper with the a clear stamps and white ink to make the snowfall above the trees. I then used the green glimmer paper and white ink to stamp the design on the trees and hand cut them out, adding some leftover kraft paper for the tree trunks. I die cut the label and white embossed the saying. I hope you enjoy!

Simon Says ......Merry Christmas ! Blog Challenge #2

I just love this adorable kitten especially with watercoloring with distress ink. I used a punch for the middle strip piece and my Big Shot for the circle and scalloped circle. I love the Aspen Frost 6x6 pad...This was inspired by Kristina Werner.

Simon Says ......Merry Christmas ! Blog Challenge

I have several cards that I handmade for Christmas this year there will be several posts to play along with Simon Says ......Merry Christmas Blog Challenge (anything Christmassy).
I white embossed Merry Christmas on first layer that was the card base. I used a blue glimmer paper (really pretty in person) with a snow background stamp and white pigment ink. THen dry embossed with matching folder. I stamped the cute Kristina Werner stamp and colored with copic markers. The hearts were die cut from a SSS die and colored with copic marker. The saying was stamped and same copic red marker used to give accents on it to match the hearts. I hope you enjoy!

12 Days of Christmas with Feminine Twist Challenge

I made this tag using part of the cardboard that came in my daughter's tights. It is a slightly larger tag and I am planning on making a pocket in the back of it to place our annual letter and family picture in it for my parents and then place it on their gift. They love animals so I thought this tag colored in with copic markers was perfect. I was inspired by Julia Stainton's tag with the snowflake background and Jennifer McGuire's tag with the animals ( okay she used a bird ) so I might be stretching a bit. But I have been so inspi
red by all things done by Jennifer that this has to partly inspired by her! Thanks Jennifer!!
I love this stamp by Kristina Werner...

CHallenge at A Blog Named Hero #13 White Out!

The card I made starts with a white base. I had a scrap that I had cut a bunch of circles out of and decided to adhere that to the paper. I then stamped a few smaller circles with designs into one of the circles and two larger designs directly into two more of the circles. I then pop dotted up three more stamped pieces for a cute birthday card!

WCMD Ellen Hutson Challenge #5

Well can you believe it two posts in one day... I am on a roll! This challenge is to use a trend. Well in the circles are all kinds of zigzags from zig zags and more background stamp plus I am starting a new trend with Drywall tape, yes that is what I said on the base of the card is drywall. Very inexpensive and resticks over and over again (great to put on titles too!)!

World Card Making Day at Ellen Hutson Challenge #2

This Challenge #2 is being inspired with the picture below from pinterest to make a card!
This is the card I came up with from the above insertion. I used a kraft paper with some flowers on it. I then added more flowers and butterflies to resemble the bedspread. Then I wanted to mimic the things above hanging down with the paper strips and twine. I did add a bit more color but what is a card with these colors with out my favorite blue? RIGHT!! I added a creating in my own penmanship and the card is done. I enjoyed the process and have never tried this before so it was a first for me!
I hope you enjoy!

Only allowed to use paper for this Challenge. I used some specialty paper: glitter, suede and ripple. A fun and interesting challenge...get too used to all the "other things you get to add" all the time!

Challenge #5 Cropped Event Above Rubies Studio

This challenge is to only use paper on the finished project...I hope ink is alright, I know they said adhesive is... Well here it is! Actually I found that ink is not alright so I will put this in the extra projects...

I won Challenge #4 for Cropped Event! WOOHOO!

Cropped Event Above Rubies Studio Challenge #4 continued

I decided to enter a card as well to the chan=llenge using Hello my friend stamp by Megan Elizabeth. Also stamped with Chillax edger ink by the one and same Megan Elizabeth. Circles with Stickles and glossy Accents on them. Circle background embossed and the ribbon is from the mystery box we received as well!!

Cropped Event Above Rubies Studio Challenge #4

This scrapbook layout was a challenge for Cropped Event that is taking place this weekend... You needed to use teal and at least 7 circles. THe circles at the bottom right corner were also edged with Megan Elizabeths Chillax Ink Edger. They really pop off the page compared to the smaller circles that are right beneath the picture on the same area. Enjoy! It was fun to make and great to get some pictures on a page!

My Pink Stamper Blog Hop NSD

This is a page for the My Pink Stamper Blog Hop.  I was supposed to make a fabric flower and use it.  The First picture is how I used it on Julia's birthday page. It was fun using ric rac to twine together and then put on some tacky glue! The second picture is a close up of my fabric flower.
Enjoy your day!

Load 512 Day 4

This day is to scrapbook something that is more using the sense of hearing.  I will be making a page about a jam session we had when Lindsay was home for Easter break, so that will be coming soon too.  I am not a quick scrapbooker.  I tend to play with something.  I will do  a little something go do something and then come back later and play with it some more...

Load 512 Day 3

This challenge for this day was harder for me.  It was to use colors of a holiday for a non holiday scrapbook page.  I am still thinking about this one and hope to be able to publish this soon....

Load 512 Day 2

Well so far 2 for 2 that is pretty good for me. Although I am sure I will get behind on weekends especially as busy as the next two weekends will be. Well Day 2 is a page with no photographs. I have been collecting artwork that Julia has made for me while I was trying to scrap and she just had to help! But we are making memories and they just grow up too fast! Thanks for looking and God bless!

LOAD 512 Day 1

I am taking a class this month called Load 512. We are challenged to think outside the box each day for May. So here is my Day 1 self portrait. I don't ever like my picture but with some of my darling kids I start to look better. I absolutely love Spring and the popping of new flowers and the warmer weather! It probably doesn't hurt that April is my birthday month ;D The first one is a collage and the second I added a few elements and a little bit of journaling.  The last one is a traditional scrapbook page while the first two are digital.  They are a bit blurry enlarging so but otherwise I think it is hard to see them. Enjoy God's blessings!

Where did April go to?

Alright I am ready to get serious about this blog so over the next few weeks I will be putting up some projects I have been working on...

Enjoy your day!

Matchbook album examples

This was a fun super easy matchbook notepad I made for my daughter.
She can draw and we can add pictures and God willing it will make its way into a scrap album for when she was three.  If any one is interested I can give directions for them.  Let me know!
God's blessings on you!

Just Starting Out! Never thought I would actually make my own blog!

Well I am actually doing it I am making my own blog!  I have been starting to do challenges and different things that I finally thought that I need to jump off the band wagon and venture into the blogging world. I hope I have something to add... I guess time will tell.
