Here I just had to add an eye and rudolph nose again. It just didn't seem complete what do you think?
I love to Papercraft so I am finally jumping on board with my own blog. Can't promise it will be all that great but God willing I will inspire somebody!

Online Card Classes Holiday Card Workshop (HCW) Day 2 continued
So this is version two, so see my previous post if you want to see how I created this... So I remembered this time to use the distress inks blended on the background BEFORE I placed it on the glued background of the actual card. It is so pretty in person because I used homemade mist with perfect pearls. I may have gotten it a little too wet because when it dried it had shrunk a little...hmmm guess what that meant~ it was a bit hard to make all the puzzle pieces fit. So I had to cut one of the tree trunks off and the reindeer in two different places to make it fit. So could you tell that from the picture? Well I will warn you so maybe you don't repeat the same mistake...but it is really pretty with the pearly shimmer to the background any way! What do you think any advice? What would you do different? Any suggestions??? Which card do you like better ?~God bless~
Online Card Classes Holiday Card Workshop (HCW) Day 2
I decided to try the Layered Die-Cut Inlay that Jennifer McGuire showed us in Day 2 (if you are not following along you are missing out go purchase the class and join me~ if you already have you know just how awesome it truly is!!!)
I made a layer of a Christmas scene in SCAL and like Jennifer said I cut the top level first, removed and continued down the layer. I made some mistakes that I changed in my second card but there was one problem in that card too that if you check out my next post you will see and hear about it there...
The santa and reindeer I colored with distress markers and also the 3 trees and then put rock candy stickles on top of the trees and on the ground for a frosty look. I wanted this to look more like snow and since it didn't I put Viva Decor white pearl pen on the edges and then more on the darker tree. I used stickles for the ornaments on the tree look.
I was so excited to start placing my die cuts in that I forgot to color the background first and had to use the distress ink with the blending tool with chipped sapphire and salty ocean.
Then I decided to add an eye with Viva Decor black pearl pen and a red nose with ruby slippers stickles.

Online Card Classes Holiday Card Workshop (HCW) Day 1 Card Three
I made a design using scale of hexagons similar to a Simon Says Stamp die and the background here resulted from using the inner part for this. I used transfer tape to make it easier to keep them lined up and just had to fix a few by hand. I then used some distress ink blended over top to have it not look so white. Then I created the Merry Christmas in SCAL and die cut it using the gold Wink of Stella pen on the star and red stickles on the Merry with the dot of the eye in the same stickles for dimension. What do you think, I'd love to know! Thanks for stopping by; may your day be blessed!
Online Card Classes Holiday Card Workshop (HCW) Day 1 Card Two
These next two cards started with a 4x6 glossy photo paper (I know Tim says not to use that but I have a stack of photo paper that I kept getting for a time with my printer ink and I just figured I would try it since the glossy paper I bought I can't find (another story entirely) and the one I ordered has not come yet... So I did alcohol ink on it for Christmasy colors (I believe red pepper and clover). I die cut a little different design that I also used SCAL for my cricut and will be using the positive die cut on some other cards, probably Christmas cards (might have more on that later). Then I outlined the words again not sure if I like this better or not??? I used a viva decor pen to add some of the positive space back in so that you can read the words better and some of the actual positive die cuts as well. Also used the viva pen for the stars...
This card I did the same as above but added Viva Decor Ice White Pearl pen for all the positive space to make the words stand out and gold stickles for the stars!
Online Card Classes Holiday Card Workshop (HCW) Day 1 Card One continued
I painted on a 3x4 card with the same distress paint as my previous post, this was just regular paper one with lines then I added the positive die cut and a few stars from the Nov studio calico kit that just graced my door! (This one may end up on a card!)
Online Card Classes Holiday Card Workshop (HCW) Day 1 Card One
I have had so much fun taking this class since they give you a day in between inspiration for creation! YAY!!! So I have been wanting to get out my distress paint and alcohol inks and play again so I went to town on some journal size cards (3x4) that I will be using some in my version of Project life and maybe adding some to cards for a quickie. (I love to make a batch of things and then make something super quick when I need it, that way it is easier to personalize them.)
So for Day 1 I was able to use my cricut to die cut so I could use the cut and the negative space which was one of the examples for class today.
First I used picket fence with a little silver alcohol ink to make a resist on the glossy paper to look like snow. Then I used chipped sapphire and salty ocean distress paints on the surface over those. The flakes were a bit muted so I added a few more on top after the paint dried. Then I used my SCAL (Sure Cuts a lot) software for the cricut and designed the Joy, Love, peace with the snowflake connecting them. When I used the negative space I used stickles on this to add in the extras to make the word stand out better. I also traced around the inside, not so sure I like it better now but it is done might not do that on the next time around though...What do you think?
